Mornington
In another joint effort with our friends at Foomann Architects, this holiday home was built on a steep & constrained triangular block to harness the spectacular views over Port Phillip Bay & the Mornington Yacht Club.
The structure consisted of a pre-fabricated timber column & beam grid, solid timber floor panels & SIPs wall panels. The house was then wrapped in vertical & horizontal spotted gum cladding, the unadorned facade rising as a soft monolith when entering the property.
Fido also coordinated the extensive landscape & swimming pool works.

“This project benefitted from the involvement of the builders, Foomann’s long-time collaborators Fido Projects, to work through the complex process, including the unconventional timber structure.” Jamie Sormann, Founder, Foomann Architects
